nginx config generator for Nextcloud

Enter domain, paths and PHP version — and get the server block, based on the example in the Nextcloud admin manual.

Afterwards

Save the file e.g. as /etc/nginx/sites-available/nextcloud.conf and link it.
nginx -t, and only then systemctl reload nginx.
Set PHP's upload_max_filesize and post_max_size to the same value as the upload limit.
Check the security and setup warnings in Nextcloud under Administration → Overview.

Behind a reverse proxy

If there is another proxy in front of nginx (e.g. a load balancer or Cloudflare), set trusted_proxies, overwriteprotocol to https and if needed overwritehost in config.php — otherwise you get redirect loops.

Privacy

Runs entirely in your browser; nothing is sent or stored.
