1 · IT radar with n8n
n8n is a tool that connects work steps into flows. An instance runs on my own server; one of its flows feeds the IT radar.
- 07:30 — n8n starts the flow on its own.
- It reads the feeds of heise, The Hacker News, BleepingComputer and Nextcloud.
- An AI model (IONOS AI Model Hub) picks the 4 most relevant items for cloud, security and operations and writes a short comment in DE, EN and IT — using only facts from the source.
- n8n sends the result to this site; only links that really appear in the sources are accepted.
- The site publishes the entries automatically — within a minute in the radar and on the home page.
- In the admin area I can withdraw any entry afterwards.
Everything runs automatically, fresh every morning. I fix mistakes by withdrawing entries.
2 · Scam check: an n8n flow you can use
You paste a suspicious message. n8n pulls out links and domains, asks public registries for the domain age, compares typical scam patterns and has an AI explain the result in plain words. Links are never opened; the text is not stored; each person gets 5 checks per hour.
What else runs automatically
- 08:30 — scheduled blog articles appear on their own; sitemap, search engines (IndexNow) and newsletter subscribers are notified.
- 09:00 — the matching LinkedIn post goes out, with a link to the article.
- The browser check runs entirely in your browser and needs no automation.
- Server monitoring, certificates and statistics run without cookies and without third parties.
