What you can do
- Test access in a private window and with a second browser: that shows cache or extension problems.
- Check whether only web access or also the app is affected.
- For mail problems: does the service say “server not reachable” or “wrong password”? These are different causes.
- Do not change your password straight away during an outage unless there is a sign of misuse.
- Developers and admins: the API or the login service can be down although the start page loads.
How we measure
Every 5 minutes our server in Germany requests the public start page of Outlook. A service counts as “not reachable” only when two checks in a row fail. The measurement only shows whether the start page answers: single features, regions or the app can still be affected. This page is independent and has no connection to Outlook.
