What you can do
- Try a second connection (mobile data instead of Wi-Fi) and a second device or the browser instead of the app.
- Clear the app cache or reinstall the app if only your device is affected.
- Update to the latest app version.
- For login problems, do not change the password several times in a row: that can lock the account for a while.
- If nobody else reports a problem, check the device's date and time and your Wi-Fi (restart the router).
How we measure
Every 5 minutes our server in Germany requests the public start page of Instagram. A service counts as “not reachable” only when two checks in a row fail. The measurement only shows whether the start page answers: single features, regions or the app can still be affected. This page is independent and has no connection to Instagram.
